Otsuka Museum

The next day we were busy. We got up at 5AM and were checked out at 6:00. We wanted to make (be in time for) the first or second tour boat that leaves to see the whirlpools in Naruto. We drove smoothly and got to the dock just before 9AM. We missed the first tour but we got (bought) tickets for the second one. The ship was full when we departed. The ride lasted 30 minutes and was pretty cool. The eddies were not very dramatic (as in the pictures) but it was nice to be on a ship on the sea. The weather was fine again this day. We returned and then went next door to the Otsuka International Museum. Now, this place was fantastic! It is so unique. They have "over 1,000 replicas of priceless masterpieces of Western Art.  These masterpieces are reproduced to their original size using special ceramic techniques." For example the Sistine Chapel ceiling painted by Michelangelo and the Last Supper painted by DaVinci are two of my favorites. They are awesome. And we saw many, many more, some that I know and many that I didn't know. And, you can touch them! That was cool. We only saw half of the works during our 6 hour visit. We may go again.
